What SnapSheet is for

Reports

Turn a finished table range into an image for status reports, weekly updates, and audit notes.

Chats and tickets

Paste a readable snapshot into chat tools or issue trackers without reformatting the data by hand.

Docs and slides

Keep spreadsheet colors, borders, and alignment when you paste the result into documents or slides.

Workflow

Copy a table range in three steps

1

Select or enter a range

Use the active selection in Google Sheets, or enter a range such as B2:H20. For XLSX and CSV, choose a file and specify the cells.

2

Render it as an image

SnapSheet creates a clean image of the selected table area, including visible cell styling where supported.

3

Paste anywhere

Copy the image to your clipboard and paste it into a document, slide deck, chat message, or ticket.

Details

Privacy and practical limits

Local files stay in your browser

XLSX and CSV files are selected locally so SnapSheet can render the requested range. Do not send confidential data in support emails unless you choose to share it.

Large ranges may need splitting

Very large images can exceed browser canvas or memory limits. If that happens, capture a smaller range and combine the results where needed.

Google Sheets can change

The Google Sheets capture path depends on the visible sheet interface. If Sheets changes its layout, SnapSheet may need an update.

Only the selected table area

Charts, floating images, and elements outside the selected cell range may not be included in the copied image.

FAQ

How do I use it after installing?

Open a Google Sheets tab, click the SnapSheet extension, select cells or enter a range, then copy the image.

Why does Google Sheets not connect?

Make sure the active tab URL starts with docs.google.com/spreadsheets, then reload the tab and try again.

Do XLSX and CSV files need a range?

Yes. Choose the file, then enter a start and end cell so SnapSheet knows which table area to render.

What if the image is too large?

Capture a smaller range. Browser image limits can vary by device, memory, and zoom level.
